California Wine

California wine has an extensive and lifelong history and in current decades has become renowned generating most of the best wine of the world pairing the creation of the typical winemaking areas of France and most of the wine contests like historic Paris Wine Tasting of 1976 exceeding it.

The wine is prepared in about 50 states but California is the country where maximum wine is created. California is considered as the 4 th largest creator of wine in the world.

Early Years

The first vineyard was planted by the Junipero Serra at Mission San Diego de Alcala. He launched about 8 vineyards before his death in the year 1784 and has been recognized as the ‘Father of California Wine’. He planted the variety from Mexican plantings which was called as the Mission grape.

Jean Louis Vignes planted the first recognized traded European wine in Los Angeles in the year 1833. There were about 300 different types of grapes were grown but some of them lost before testing because of complexities in handling and preserving. Haraszthy, who is a creator of California wine industry, also contributed his confidence and eagerness for the future of wine along with substantial private risk and effort.

He established Buena Vista Winery and supported vine planting over Northern California . Most of the California wines obtain medals in European contests. Barrels of California wine are exported to Canada , England , Mexico , Australia and Central America .

So, it was noticed that from many years California is offering quality wine of different varieties and considered to be the best country in providing wine.
